ASAN Global Web Forum is over


The closing session of the ASAN Global Web Forum on "Governments Agile Response to COVID-19" was organized.

Speakers were Chief of Public Service Innovation branch, UN DESA John-Mary Kauzya and Chief of Administration of SAPSSI (ASAN Service) Azad Jafarli.

Azad Jafarli spoke about the provision of public administration and services, social innovations, logistics, and related fields. He noted the contribution to international cooperation in the discussion of the current situation, prospects and exchange of experience in various fields. It was noted that the results achieved and the steps to be taken at this Forum, which is a new platform for understanding the realities in the new age of innovation and information, will play an important role in building a safer world in the post-pandemic period.

In the closing session, the participants agreed to continue the current format and re-cover the issues from a broader perspective, taking into account the progress of the Forum, discussions, results and approaches to future cooperation.

It is planned to held ASAN Global Web Forum annualy.

On May 14-15, 2020, at the initiative of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the ASAN Global Web Forum on "Governments Agile Response to COVID-19".

The aim of the Forum was to discuss the effectiveness and accessibility of public services during the pandemic, as well as the irreplaceable role of social innovations, smart solutions in the context of pandemic control and beyond. Also, the exchange of experience in the field of innovative approaches and mechanisms was a key priority.

The Global Web Forum was attended by leaders, ministers and well-known experts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as various countries, international organizations and companies.

The 2-day Forum consisted of opening, closing sessions and 4 panels on different topics.
