The campaign of “ Let’s exchange every single paper to a leaf” was completed.
The Project entitled “Let’s exchange every single paper to a leaf” implemented by “IDEA” Public Union founded and lead by Leyla Aliyeva, the Vise-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, together with “ASAN service” and “Clean City” AJSC (Azerbaijan Joint-Stock Company) has been successfully completed.
Within the framework of special campaign that was operational as from February 3, 2014 the large volume of paper were handed over to Baku ASAN service centers.
On the basis of 1 tree for each 50 kg paper overall 1576 trees have been bought in exchange of 78810 kg waste papers within the project.
On April 5, 2014, tree planting campaign was organized in the city landfill waste disposal area located in Balakhany and managed by "Clean City" AJSC with the participation of state entities, private enterprises and individuals supporting the project. The area of approximately 5000 m2 has been greened.
The purpose of the exact selection of this area for the planting of trees is to enrich the air with oxygen, to fertile the soil and hereby to contribute the restoration of the ecological balance in the area.
The main purpose of the implementation of the project is to ensure the participation of all social levels of the society to fight against ecological problems, and to involve them to the issue, to increase the effective work of awareness through the real ecological projects among people.
