Chairman of the State Agency paid a visit to Davos
On January 21-25, 2019 a delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the city of Davos.
The purpose of the visit was to hold meetings with leading companies specialized in innovations and modern technologies within the Davos World Economic Forum and discuss prospects for further cooperation.
Within the forum, there were organized meetings with Philip Amon, head of the Swiss company "SICPA", Damir Jandricek, head of “Ledgerstate” company, Peter Selfridge, vice-president of German company "SAP SE", Sam Lee, head of Australian “Blockchain Technology” Company, Andrew Mcafee, Professor of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and co-founder of the Digital Economy Program. Also, the delegation participated in the session titled “New World: Global Citizenship and Digital Government" and made a presentation on activities of “ASAN service” to various state and company representatives.
During the meetings detailed information on the reforms carried out in our country was presented. Furthermore, the sides discussed joint opportunities for cooperation in the field of application of modern technologies, exchange of experience in support of innovations and startups, attraction of investments, as well as organization of joint activities at the regional level.
An agreement was reached between the parties on exchange of experience and extensive cooperation.
