“ASAN service” realize 100 years future event
On July 5, 2023, an event called "Future of 100 Years" was held within the framework of the "Skills for the Future" project implemented by the "Innovations Center" of the State Agency for Citizen Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event, which was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, was sponsored by "BP Azerbaijan" company and organizational support of "Azericard" LLC.
In the event, Representatives of various state institutions, rectors of universities that signed the Memorandum of Agreement within the framework of the project, professional mentors in the field, trainers and other guests took part.
First, the presentation of the startups of the 1st and 2nd Tusi Incubation programs took place.
Chairperson of the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, and BP’s Vice President for External Relations and Communication in the Caspian Region Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Videos about the social-political and statehood activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the works done within the framework of the aforementioned project were depicted.
Then 19 startup teams formed by the mentors as a result of the general incubation programs presented their projects. The "ABC" team made up of students of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and Azerbaijan Technical University under the mentorship of Azerbaijan Technical University mentor Gunel Mammadli won the 1st place, "Agro-Bot" team was awarded the 2nd place, and the "Vooshii" team, consisting of students of the Baku Engineering University, mentored by the mentor of Azerbaijan Technical University Murad Gurbanov, was awarded the 3rd place, and the winners were presented with prizes.
Within the framework of the event, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, as well as BP's vice president for external relations and communication in the Caspian region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, were awarded "10th anniversary of the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2012-2022)" jubilee medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and university rectors who support the innovation ecosystem were presented with the medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan for effective cooperation with "ASAN service".
At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to the participants of the 2nd Mentoring Program of the project.
The “Skills for the Future" project aimed at increasing the capacity of personnel in the field of innovation, supporting innovation activities in education. At the same time, the main goals are to support students in the educational process in order to develop their innovative ideas and direct them to the field of discovery and invention, which plays an important role in the technological development of our country. In total, 181 startup ideas of more than 2000 students were submitted to the project. In this framework, 98 startup teams were formed with the support of more than 130 teachers trained as mentors in universities.
