“ASAN Service” Digital Game Camp Concludes

The "DIGIAGE - Baku" digital game camp's closing event was organized jointly by the "Innovations Center" of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "Bilishim Valley Baku", and Azerbaijan Technical University. This event was generously supported by the Veysaloglu Group of Companies, "Code Academy" company, and "IBIS Baku City Hotel".

Distinguished attendees at the event included Deputy Chairman of the State Agency, Jeyhun Salmanov; Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagchi; Director of the "Innovations Center", Vusal Rustamov; Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Vilayat Valiyev; Director of Bilishim Valley of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkey, Serdar Ibrahimcioglu; and Director of the "DIGIAGE" company, Emre Yildiz, among others.

A highlight of the event was a video showcasing the most successful teams of the "DIGIAGE - Baku" digital game camp. The teams displayed their games, crafted during the camp, to investors and judges. Out of 14 teams, investments will be directed to 5 that demonstrated significant potential. Additionally, these teams will be gifted free office space at the Bilishim Valley Baku campus. In total, 11 out of the 14 teams will receive mentorship support from Knowledge Valley to enhance their investment appeal.

Throughout the 4-day camp, 92 participants, selected from 267 applicants who passed the admission criteria, participated either as teams or individuals. They received valuable insights into game rights and incorporation, career prospects in the sector, and underwent "Game Art" game creation training. Motivational stories from renowned companies and game designers were also shared.

To further assist teams in securing initial capital, invited investors from Turkey reviewed the projects and assessed their investment potential.

The camp's overarching aim is to empower talented young individuals to craft games and champion their projects with guidance from professional mentors. Fundamental goals also encompass aiding them to gain invaluable experience, foster new initiatives, and access avenues to penetrate the global market.
