Uzbekistan expands the implementation of "ASAN Service" practices
The delegation from the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is currently on a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, focusing on the broader application of the "ASAN Service" model.
As part of this visit, Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Chairperson of the State Agency, held a meeting with Akbar Tashkulov, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The discussions centered around the ongoing and planned projects within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two sides in 2019. Minister Tashkulov provided insights into the recent reforms in the field of public services in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the Uzbek Minister highlighted the success of public service centers in Uzbekistan, inspired by Azerbaijan's "ASAN Service" experience. He noted that citizen satisfaction has reached nearly 90% in recent years and expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the state agency for the support extended.
Simultaneously, the delegation familiarized themselves with various departments of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, operating across diverse fields.
As part of the visit, Chairman Ulvi Mehdiyev explored the operations of the State Services Center in Tashkent, operating based on the "ASAN Service" concept. It was revealed that Uzbekistan currently operates 208 State Service Centers, providing citizens with 309 types of public services, with plans to reach 350 by the end of the year. The adoption of mobile services based on Azerbaijani experience was also emphasized.
During the visit, Chairperson Mehdiyev engaged in meetings with the Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States, the Deputy Governor of Gyongsangbuk-do province in the Republic of Korea, and the Head of the Innovation Center named after Mohammed Bin Rashid for Innovations in the United Arab Emirates.
