Somali Minister got acquainted with “ASAN Service”

On July 25, 2024, a delegation led by Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, got acquainted with the activities of the “ASAN Service” center.

Jeyhun Salmanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, briefed the guests on “ASAN Service” and other areas of activity.

It was also emphasized that the Agency received United Nations Public Service Award in 2015, UN special award for advancing public services through digital governance in 2019, and was selected as “World’s Most Advanced Public Service” within the Global Government Excellence Award Programme in 2023.

The guests were informed that “ASAN Service” is currently engaging in successful cooperation with several African countries regarding the implementation of its model.

The Minister expressed that the “ASAN Service” experience left strong impression on him and showed interest in applying it in his country.

Furthermore, the delegation familiarized themselves with the activities of the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, “ABAD”, “Bilim Bakı” center, and the Mobile ASAN Service.
