COP29 special visa portal launched

As part of the preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held in Baku on November 11-22 of this year, the Government of Azerbaijan has taken a series of measures to ensure the comfort of numerous officials, delegations, and other guests visiting the country

To this end, to simplify the visa application process for COP29 participants and ensure their convenient and efficient travel to Baku, a dedicated portal has been launched for obtaining the COP29 Special Visa.
In cooperation with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a dedicated "ASAN Visa" application module for COP29 has been launched at www.evisa.gov.az/cop29.

Considering that tens of thousands of participants from nearly 200 countries are expected to attend COP29, the portal is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, and Korean. It operates 24/7, providing continuous support and a fully electronic, paperless visa application process.

It is important to note that officials, delegations, and other guests wishing to obtain a COP29 Special Visa through www.evisa.gov.az/cop29 must first register via the UNFCCC Online Registration System (https://onlinereg.unfccc.int/onlinereg). Once the COP29 Special Visa application has been completed, the visa will be issued free of charge within three business days.

Detailed information on the COP29 Special Visa application process is available through the electronic visa guidelines (https://cop29.az/storage/463/COP29-visa-guidelines_v04.pdf) and mational video (https://cop29.az/az/pages/visa-video).
