Training held for “ASAN Service” Center employees at the Academy of Public Administration

A training session on the topic “Innovative Governance Technologies of President Ilham Aliyev: The Path to Victory” was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (APA) for employees of “ASAN Service” centers.
The training was conducted in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the “Strategy for the Development of the Civil Service in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019–2025” for 2023–2025, which was approved by President Ilham Aliyev, it was also conducted in line with the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Employment Strategy for 2020-2025, which was approved by Presidential Decree on February 13, 2020.
During the training, Academician Urkhan Alakbarov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration delivered a lecture entitled “Innovative Governance Technologies of President Ilham Aliyev: The Path to Victory”. During the lecture, the rector provided extensive information on the declaration of 2024 as the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” in Azerbaijan by order of the President of the Republic, as well as on Azerbaijan’s hosting of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
The Academician noted that COP, hosted by a different country each year, is an important global platform aimed at accelerating action to address global challenges and achieving climate-related objectives. He emphasized that the transition to a green economy and Azerbaijan’s transformation into a supplier of green energy are among the pillars of the country’s successful economic policy.
In his lecture, the Rector also highlighted the historical contributions of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted that following the return of the Great Leader to power in 1993, Azerbaijan’s statehood was safeguarded against major threats, while fundamental changes took place in the country’s socio-political, socio-economic, scientific and cultural life.
The Rector stated that the achievements attained by Azerbaijan are the result of the policy pursued by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. Urkhan Alakbarov drew attention to the successes achieved by Azerbaijan through the development strategy established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
He particularly emphasized that the new governance technologies developed and implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev have enabled Azerbaijan to become a regional and global leader in the efficient use of resources for sustainable and inclusive development.
Urkhan Alakbarov also noted the exceptional contribution of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva to Azerbaijan’s attainment of high indicators in the field of inclusive development and its emergence as a global leader in the implementation of social policy.
The Rector noted that the independent and sovereign Republic of Azerbaijan has entered a qualitatively new strategic phase covering the period of 2021–2030. He stated that building an inclusive society is among the country’s key priorities set for 2030.
