Delegation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations payed a visit to Italy
On March 26-30 Delegation of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations visited Rome, Italy in the framework of regional project entitled “E-Governance for transparency, accountability, effectiveness of the public service” implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The purpose of the visit was to attend the annual conference on Digital Society and e-Governments organized by the International Academy, Research and Industry Association (IARIA). For public, private and scholarly representatives from different countries the conference was a beneficial platform engaging discussions about citizen-friendly e-government, public-private partnerships (PPPs), transition to mobile government, and citizens’ participation opportunities in e-government.
"ASAN service" and "E-Government Development: Experience of Azerbaijan" were presented at the session titled "Digital Society and e-Governments" on March 26. During the presentation, there was given wide information about "ASAN service" experience. In addition, detailed information was given about the work and projects implemented with the assistance of e-services, and e-government guided by the State Agency.
Furthermore, on March 27, at the session titled "Information Technologies Trends in Public Services", the current necessity of this field and advanced practices were brought to the attention of the participants, as well as wide deliberations were held.
Besides, a number of bilateral meetings were held within the framework of the conference. Representatives from Brazil, Germany, Estonia, Norway, Belarus and Georgia appreciated Azerbaijan's experience in the fields of public services, e-government, e-services, and made a number of proposals on prospects for further cooperation.
