The Campaign of Issuance of identification documents to prisoners in jails was started

The event was held for issuance of identification documents to women prisoners in Jail No.4 of Penitentiary service of the Ministry of Justice by “ASAN service” on March 7, 2014.

Deputy Minister – Head of Penitentiary service, Justice General-lieutenant – Madat Guliyev in his speech mentioned that identification document was presented to prisoners first time. It was noted that these events will be continued and all prisoners will be ensured with identification documents. Head of Penitentiary service expressed his gratitude to the employees of “ASAN service and Ministry of Internal Affairs for organization of this event.

Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan brought to the attention that ASAN service is a new form of mutual relations between civil servants and citizens.

Later, Chairman of the Legal Policy and State Building Committee of Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli, Deputy Chairman of Committee for Family, Woman, and Children Issues Aynur Sofiyeva mentioned the importance of this event in their speech. They congratulated women prisoners on the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day.

At the end of the event 66 women prisoners were ensured with identification document (ID).
