OIC delegation at “ASAN service”
The chairperson of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehdiyev, met with the delegation led by Director General of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center of Islamic Countries (SESRIC) of the Islamic Labor Organization (ILO) Zehra Zumrud Selchuk.
Within the framework of the meeting, information about the goals and activities of the "ASAN service" centers was brought to the attention of the guests. It was mentioned that important achievements have been made in the field of ensuring efficient state administration with the creation of "ASAN service" in terms of increasing transparency and applying modern innovations.
It was mentioned, that the State Agency was awarded the United Nations Public Services Award in 2015, the UN special award in the field of public services development with the application of digital management in 2019, and the” World’s Most Advanced Public Service” in 2023 within the framework of ”Global Government Excellency Award” program. Moreover, it was also emphasized that the “ASAN service” model has been successfully applied in various countries.
At the meeting, discussions were held regarding the prospects of future cooperation in the field of training projects in the field of public services and social innovations. The chairperson of the State Agency informed the other side about the trainings held at the ASAN Innovative Development Center for representatives of state and private organizations.
By appreciating the large-scale activities of the Selçuk State Agency in various fields and noting that they are ready to support the sharing of the experience of "ASAN service" with member countries, Zahra Zumrud made a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Agreement in this direction.
The delegation got acquainted with the activities of "ASAN service" center, "Bilim Baku" center, "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center, ASAN Innovative Development Center and "ABAD".
