Selcuk Bayraktar at “Bilim Baku”
Technical Director of “Baykar”, Selchuk Bayraktar, visited the "Bilim Baku" Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the event, a minute of silence was observed to commemorate the martyrs of both countries, followed by the playing of national anthems. Speeches were delivered by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jahit Bagchi, the Ambassador of Turkiye to Azerbaijan, and Selchuk Bayraktar, the Technical Director of “Baykar”.
Ahmet Köse, the head of the "Bilim Baku" Center, presented a report on the center's activities, highlighting various types of trainings, events, and projects held since August 2022, with the participation of over 30,000 students.
As part of the event, Selchuk Bayraktar was honored with the Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "for fruitful cooperation with ASAN service."
A musical program was also presented by ASAN volunteers.
It's worth noting that the "Bilim Baku" center, established through a memorandum between the State Agency and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3), was inaugurated on May 28, 2022. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Turkish "Nobel" laureate Aziz Sanjar.
The center aims to develop the knowledge and skills of students aged 6-14 in the fields of technology, innovation, science, and entrepreneurship. It seeks to visually demonstrate school-taught concepts through applied training, emphasizing the equivalence of science and technology in everyday life. Additionally, the center aims to create opportunities for observing how scientific phenomena, whose theory is known, function in practice.
