The World Bank highly values the “ASAN service” concept.
Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led a delegation that participated in the 23rd session of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. They also held meetings with senior officials of the United Nations and the World Bank during their visit to the United States of America (USA).
In Washington, a meeting took place between the head of the State Agency and Akihiko Nishio, Vice President of the World Bank. During this meeting, a detailed presentation was given about the State Agency's activities, including the goals of establishing "ASAN Service" centers and various projects implemented in providing state services.
It was highlighted that the "ASAN Service" model received two awards from the UN and was selected as the "world's most advanced public service" in February of last year.
Additionally, it was reported that the State Agency is currently cooperating with more than 20 countries and international organizations to share the experience of "ASAN Service."
The other party expressed a high regard for the "ASAN Service" model and stated that Azerbaijan's advanced experience would serve as an example for countries seeking innovation in public services.
During the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached to establish joint cooperation for implementing the "ASAN Service" model in third countries.
Furthermore, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the State Agency and Dominique Favre, Executive Director of the World Bank. Discussions were held on potential areas of cooperation.
The business trip of the State Agency delegation to the United States is ongoing.
