Application of “ASAN Service” Model to Be Expanded in Africa
During his visit to Ethiopia, Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Temesgen Tiruneh, Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
During the meeting, the Ethiopian side expressed its gratitude to the Republic of Azerbaijan for the support provided in the establishment of the “MESOB” center, which is based on the “ASAN Service” model. It was emphasized that the number of public service centers operating in the country based on Azerbaijan's best practices will continue to increase.
The Chairman of the State Agency expressed his confidence that the “MESOB” public service center would earn a high level of public trust and noted the readiness of the Azerbaijani side to provide further support in the establishment of subsequent centers.
During the visit, the Chairman of the State Agency also held a meeting with Selma Haddadi, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission. Detailed information regarding the “ASAN Service” model, as well as various innovative projects implemented by the State Agency in the field of public service delivery, was presented to the representative.
In turn, the representative of the African Union Commission noted that the “ASAN Service” model had made a strong impression and expressed readiness for cooperation in implementing this experience across African Union member states.
The Chairman of the State Agency also held meetings with the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Institute and the Head of the Ethiopian Investment Commission. During these meetings, prospective avenues for cooperation in the field of public service delivery were discussed.
