Somalia Explores “ASAN Service” Experience On-Site
On July 7–8, 2025, a delegation led by Mohamed Amin Sheikh Osman, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan to study the operational experience of “ASAN Service” centers.
The delegation's visit was conducted within the framework of the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Public Service Delivery between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia", signed during the visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Azerbaijan in February of this year.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation honored the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of Azerbaijan by visiting Victory Park and the Alley of Martyrs.
During a meeting with Jeyhun Salmanov, Deputy Chairman of the State Agency, the guests were provided with comprehensive information regarding “ASAN Service” centers, established at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as projects implemented in the sphere of social innovations. It was highlighted that today, this Azerbaijani intellectual brand is being exported to over 25 countries worldwide.
The Somali side expressed its readiness to promptly establish a "single-window" public service center in their country based on the “ASAN Service” model and requested continued support from the Azerbaijani side in this endeavor.
The delegates also familiarized themselves with the operations of several “ASAN Service” centers in Baku, the "INNOLAND" Incubation and Acceleration Center, the "Bilim Bakı" center, the "ASAN" mobile service, the 108 Call Center, and ASAN TV/Radio.
During the visit, detailed presentations were delivered to the delegation members by representatives of various structural units of the State Agency, followed by productive discussions on relevant areas of cooperation.
