“ASAN service” at the UN awarding ceremony
UN Public Service Delivery Forum is being conducted on June 23-26, in Medellin, Colombia. Delegations led by senior government officials of the UN member-states attended at the event. The Republic of Azerbaijan is represented by a delegation led by the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Inam Karimov.
The aim of the event, as traditionally, is to present the most advanced models in the field of UN 2015 public service delivery.
On June 23, Chairman of the State Agency Inam Karimov delivered a speech at the opening ceremony to share the experience of the “ASAN service” as received 2015 UN Public Service Award.
Chairman of the State Agency, Inam Karimov delivered information about the implementation of reforms in the field of improvement and modernization of public administration in last years by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. There was given a detailed presentation on successful activity of the “ASAN service” as a part of these reforms and other measures in the field of e-government in Azerbaijan. “ASAN service” was drawn to attention as a successful and example model from the aspect of its legal and formal features and enhancing the efficiency of public service delivery. It was mentioned that, approximately 5 million citizens’ satisfaction has been provided within two years.
There was demonstrated a video about the “ASAN service” after the presentation.
On June 24, in the frame of the Forum, Azerbaijani delegation will take a floor with the presentations on the topics “Innovating Public Service Delivery for Sustainable Development” and “2015 Winner Public Service Delivery: ASAN service”.
Should be noted that, awarding of the winners and closing ceremony will take a place on June 26.
